BioCote Antimicrobial Technology

Spectrum coolers, manufactured by Waterlogic International, use BioCote Antimicrobial Silver Technology. Added to all of the plastic parts that surround the water dispensing areas (including faucets, push buttons, catch trays, catch tray surrounds and tops of coolers), BioCote gives Spectrum coolers the highest level of  hygienic protection in the industry. 

• BioCote’s unique anti-microbial solution inhibits the growth of microorganisms using silver ion technology
• Silver, a natural antimicrobial, has been used for centuries to kill bacteria
• Silver ions are added to the plastic and silicone materials during the manufacture of the coolers, creating an active concentration on surfaces 
• Silver ions on cooler surfaces prevent bacteria from reproducing and inhibit growth

Independent Testing
Extensive independent testing has been conducted on a wide range of bacteria including the Super Bug methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) and E. coli. Product has shown no significant reduction in the antimicrobial performance over their simulated effective life.
