Spectrum coolers that use Direct Chill Technology are the smart choice for both large and small offices – no surprise then these models are several of our most popular.  The reason is simple: Direct Chill is a cost-effective way both to supply drinking water to small office locations as well as to produce large volumes of cold water for offices, call centers and distribution facilities.  

How it Works

• The Direct Chill coil cools the filtered water as it passes from the filtration system
• Use of cooling coil, instead of a cold water tank, virtually eliminates risk of bacterial growth
• Using coils can also save you money, since costly tank maintenance can be avoided.  Cold water tanks grow bacteria, requiring sanitization at least every six months (unless UV light is present in the tank)

• When used with Bacteriostatic Filters, Direct Chill coolers can avoid the rapid growth of bacteria found in non-UV-equipped filtered water coolers

• Direct Chill coolers (SWC85) create very large volumes of cold water by instantly chilling filtered water as it passes through the cooler
