Leak Detection and Prevention

The Spectrum SmartValve is the best leak insurance you’ll ever buy. It detects leaks and stops them before they do any serious damage. This is how SmartValve works:

• SmartValve constantly monitors water flow and pressure
• It prevents catastrophic leaks by automatically shutting off the water supply if 4 continuous gallons of water escape (up to 2,000 gallons per day)
• It also shuts off the water supply if it senses a slow drip leak (after ½ liter has escaped)

The SmartValve, installed at the initial connection point, protects all water devices downstream.

Full-System SmartValve – Installed where the water line is tapped, SmartValve monitors all downstream devices – including cooler itself and components such as an ice machine.

• Automatic shut-off of water supply after 4 gallons has leaked from any of the downstream devices
• Slow-drip leaks are detected – auto shut-off occurs after only ½ liter leaks
• Prevents catastrophic leaks from all water appliances
• Mechanical Design: no batteries, sensor pads, wires or AC power required
• Detects leaks in water coolers, water filters, fittings, coffee machines, ice makers, water filters, fittings, and all of the water lines connecting these devices.
• Reset button conveniently located

Factory-Installed Internal Leak Detection Device (available on select cooler models)

• Detects leaks inside the water cooler and shuts off water supply at the solenoid inside the cooler
• Auto shut-off occurs after 8 oz. of water is detected in an internal collection pan
• Protects against internal leaks only – does not monitor other systems such as ice machines, filters or water lines
